  • 10:41:09: the show was in a weird, narrow basement room filled with humid people singing the every at the top of their lungs. excellence.
  • 10:41:37: wishing i could have slept later, but the @bumscrabble couch is in front of several windows. you can't fight sunlight. or at least i can't.
  • 10:42:06: plus i was in and out of sleep during a marathon of NewsRadio episodes on dvd, contributing to my overall sleep time, i guess.

  • 21:22:11: After years of disappointment with get-rich-quick schemes, I KNOW I'm gonna get rich with *this* scheme...and quick!
  • 21:45:55: soaking my terribly seasoning-and-meat-juice-and-bbq-sauce-encrusted broiler pan while another cheap frozen meal cooks in the oven.
  • 22:12:11: gave the broiler pan a well overdue cleaning. now sitting down at the coffee table for food and Simpsons.

  • 20:40:51: 12 hours today. and the rest of the week. how many weeks of overtime is this now? like 13? 14? i don't even know anymore. fuck it.
  • 20:48:10: Damien Jurado's "Ghost of David" is not a very strong album, but has 3 or 4 killer songs. will listen to it a couple more times in the car.
  • 21:02:46: slept through the alarm for over 40 minutes again this morning, becoming aware of the time at 6:13 (when i typically leave for work at 6:25)
  • 22:34:47: Lemuria is playing a house show in Lakewood on Friday. wonder if i will go, or be able to go, or whatever. i'm kinda dying to see them.
  • 22:35:17: every time Lemuria has played somewhere i could drive to since i started listening to them, i've had to miss it for some reason or another.

  • 01:38:15: home from Cleveland. weird how fast and easy the drive back was! cruise control really helped, i think. pretty tired now, no surprise there.
  • 01:42:14: doesn't seem like Damien Jurado would or should be conducive to staying awake and sharp for a 90 minute late night drive
  • 01:43:03: but i listened to "Rehearsals For Departure" all the way home from Lakewood and had no trouble staying awake & alert enough to get home safe

  • 10:41:36: cleaning up this room might be something to work on today, in addition to having to do laundry. not that i'll want to do anyfuckingthing.
  • 11:17:24: it's Sunday, i may as well hit up Hardee's, get a greasy, fattening breakfast and return home to watch some more of Simpsons season 10.
  • 16:07:53: with charcoal gray hooded sweatshirt still missing and presumed dead, i went ahead and bought a new black one for $10.

  • 18:52:34: making bbq pork chops for dinner later. if that won't cheer me up, nothing will. i mean, it won't either, but it will taste good.

  • 12:14:52: this is the latest i've dragged myself out of bed in a completely unknowable amount of time. months, i'm sure.
  • 12:15:33: i slept in my actual bed for the first time since August. with the door closed. ah, darkness. wish i could have slept longer, actually.
  • 13:48:40: just talked to @bumscrabble who gave me extra encouragement to come up to Cleveland and hang out w him after Clare & the Reasons show tonite
  • 14:13:58: listening to WrestleCrap Radio 9/18/09. thanks to a few weeks without new shows, i'm only three shows behind.
  • 15:28:08: 2:30 in the afternoon and i'm just sitting around in shorts being cold. about to get dressed just to check the mail. there won't be any.
  • 15:33:37: not only did i not get any mail, they put my neighbor's mail in my box. insult to injury!
  • 16:17:45: NP: Damien Jurado "Gathered in Song" EP plus bonus tracks. i'm cold and alone, so few things are more appropriate than Damien Juardo.
  • 16:18:07: observation from work yesterday: few things ruin a cute girl like a t-shirt emblazoned with the name NICKELBACK.
  • 16:18:33: on the other hand, few things enhance an already cute girl like a Simpsons t-shirt.

  • 19:01:40: Hardee's gave me 2 free turnovers for making me wait too long for food. for the second time. too bad i don't eat fruit things.
  • 19:05:31: if i really did leave my sweatshirt in my old car when i traded it in, that sucks and i'm stupid. i miss it. o hoodie where art thou?
  • 19:31:01: leaving for Cleveland in a few. seeing Clare & the Reasons, Frontier Ruckus and Lowly the Tree Ghost tonight @ Beachland Tavern.

  • 19:12:19: going to pick up my mom, then off to Canton to see Bob Freaking Dylan. i mom would enjoy listening to the new My Dad is Dead in the car.
  • 23:48:38: back from seeing Bob Dylan in Canton with my mom. that was pretty cool.
  • 23:49:00: even if it did take me about three minutes to figure out he was singing "Girl From the North Country".
  • 23:49:29: mom got up to find a bathroom and missed almost all of the last song, "All Along the Watchtower". sucks to be you, ma.
  • 23:53:04: can't see @davidbazan house show in Columbus in December even if i wanted to. sold out. just means i HAVE to see him in Cleveland now!

  • 07:07:50: day three of partial jaw lockage. a little less bad that yesterday, easier to ease back in place, but it doesn't stay that way.
  • 21:17:31: i got a copy of Pedro the Lion's "The Only Reason I Feel Secure" ep in the mail, as well as Bracket's "Four Rare Vibes" ep.
  • 21:18:39: Pedro the Lion ep is the Made in Mexico version, was s'posed to be the Jade Tree version. Amazon sellers need to know what they're selling.
  • 21:20:14: working a mere 8 hours tomorrow. then, a few hours later, going to see Bob Dylan! then i have Friday off. vacation day, just because.
  • 21:20:34: at 44 hours, this will be the shortest week i've worked since before overtime started back in August. yikes.
  • 21:27:37: still trying to get Smashing Pumpkins "The Aeroplane Flies High" box on eBay for not too much $$. why didn't i just buy one 10+ years ago?
  • 21:38:16: jaw has gone back and forth today between almost normal and almost always locked up. right now, for now discernible reason, it's 100% normal

  • 07:07:52: slept thru the alarm for about 35 minutes. got a shower and something small to eat. no change in whatever is up with my jaw.
  • 07:08:43: getting worried. i don't want to have to go to the doctor and end up having something drastic done. i mean, what would the even do?
  • 07:09:24: maybe i just need someone to slap me in the face really hard to pop the joint back in place or something. sounds better than, like, surgery.
  • 07:13:17: on the plus side, i've been reading some of my backlog of articles on Cracked and i'm up to August now. a few down, only hundreds left!
  • 20:38:56: Ok, they're calling the band / tour "Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa" now? late '09 and early '10 tour dates announced. none in Ohio.

  • 21:07:16: just pre-ordered "City Route 85", the new 7" EP from John K. Samson of the Weakerthans.

  • 08:45:00: just ordered some CDs from No Idea for proberly the first time since 2001, as far as i can recall.
  • 08:47:46: nice to see a former co-worker on the bash Obama bandwagon. sorry the colored prez ruined your life. somehow. f*cking christians.
  • 09:00:17: i need to do some dishes and general tidying up around here today. hey man, don't pressure me. i'll get to it. maybe.
  • 09:24:34: listening to WrestleCrap Radio 9/4/09. i know i listened to this once before but i don't think i was paying much attention. let's try again.
  • 10:41:54: going to get some breakfast from Hardee's and start on the Simpsons season 10 dvd. maybe after 3-4 episodes, i'll start some cleaning.
  • 11:13:48: time for breakfast. changed my mind about the Simpsons, though. wrestling feels better suited for chilly Sunday morning viewing.
  • 11:15:59: wrestling in this case meaning i'm gonna start watching the matches on the WWE Greatest Stars of the 90s dvd. should be a good time.
  • 13:17:52: just did dishes and listened to a Magazine cd i got for like $2 on eBay about a year ago. should run the sweeper next. i mean, later on.
  • 15:26:03: i guess i left a black pen in the load of laundry i left at my mom's. a couple things got pretty slathered in black ink.
  • 15:26:42: guess i need to replace one or two pairs of pants and get some more plain white shirts for wearing to work or whatever. feel like an idiot.
  • 15:55:20: listening to Iron Maiden's "Killers" when is the last time i heard this record? when i was like 10 years old or something? jeezis.
  • 16:59:28: picked up a couple things at Dollar General incl. a Who shirt for $6 (!), a pair of jeans and some white t-shirts.
  • 17:54:58: hey, i never did run the sweeper. maybe i'll do that now. nothing else fucking going on.
  • 18:26:11: eating the leftover extra burrito i got at Taco Bell last night. also just sittin' here, all bored and shit.
  • 20:46:24: making Hamburger Helper Cheesy Nacho for dinner. and i'm gonna start on the Simpsons season 10. for real this time.
